.. if a party is on your mind. or the day was too hard .. 5 product stars
"Enthusiastic rock and roll duo with a repertoire of popular hits from the 50's (and close to these years). Thus, on the album "Let's Rip It Up" you can hear a cut from both directly rockin' and rollin' tunes.. and things around that craze. So, it could be Teen Pop, swingin' and twistin', Elvis, just a trendy song, or even Vocal Pop. Basically, these glossy compositions turned out great in cover performances. Voices go well, open sound, and the presentation itself is quite thematic. I can not say that it's perfect - but it achieved its purpose. With tracks like "See You Later Alligator" - nice try to make that merry style of performance and whimsical carefree mood; somewhat Teen Rock'n'Roll. With Eddie Cochran's "Twenty Flight Rock" the atmosphere of all this youthful rock fad was created very well. "Everyday" and alike songs - a little as if feigned, but still entertaining and melodic. The accompaniment harmonizes good with the vocals. And adding "Loving You" - with such a melody and other music on CD - it's so easy (and even cool in some ways) to imagine yourself as a teenager or, on the contrary, a very old man. Such a difference in age, but the desires will probably be similar. A little more time, a bit happiness, quite more freedom, and a lot... a lot less anxiety. Well, some more everyday intrigue too. As with "Shake Rattle & Roll". So, if you collect Colin Mee projects or Skip Records releases, then this one is definitely exclusive. And an unusual cover band project." smed28 - 24 January 2022
